(LinuxWorld) — .Net is Microsoft's latest technology initiative. To date, the measurable deliveries include a marketing blitz, beta versions of new technologies and a repackaging of existing technologies. Unfortunately, a clear picture of what .Net is and where it will lead has yet to emerge. Even in this uncertain environment, organizations are starting to implement projects based in .Net. Organizations must weigh the pluses and minuses of using any technology, as the stakes are very high. Selecting the wrong technology at the wrong time will cause a product to fail and may sink an entire organization.
